Headspace

Headspace displays the yearly plan (with autofocus) above the monthly plan. A simple move to increase chances to sell the yearly plan rather than the monthly plan.

In the onboarding, the user can only subscribe to the annual plan. When you open the app the day after, you unlock the monthly plan.

Curio

Curio

Curio includes a 7-day free trial in its annual plan whereas the user is immediately charged in the monthly plan. This is another way to encourage users to opt for the yearly subscription.

Revolut

Revolut

Revolut displays a paywall during the onboarding. Users land on the "metal" screen and have to swipe and go through all the premium plans (i.e. premium and plus) to get to the "standard" free plan. This forces users to get a glimpse of all the paying options and eventually subscribe to one of them.
